Parents shouldn't be the only ones allowed to have fun-looking drinks, so we found plenty of easy and tasty mocktails to prepare for your children, for the kids of your friends, and for the drivers who will accompany your friends.

1. Hot Apple Cider

Ingredients
8 cups 100% apple juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 apple unpeeled and cut in half
1 small naval orange unpeeled and sliced into 1/4-inch slices
2 tsp whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 tsp allspice

 

 

Instructions

  1. Carefully insert the whole cloves into the apple on both the flesh and skin sides (see picture above).
  2. Heat apple juice over medium heat in a large pot or Dutch oven.
  3. Once heated, add the brown sugar and stir to dissolve.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a simmer and let simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Promptly remove the apple halves, orange slices, cinnamon sticks and any clove remnants from the pot.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!

2. Nana’s Pumpkin Pie Nog

Ingredients
1 15-oz. can pumpkin puree
Califia Farms Holiday Nog
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
4 cups of vanilla or pumpkin ice cream

 

Instructions

  1. Blend pumpkin puree with Califia Farms Holiday Nog until smooth.
  2. In a saucepan combine the blended pumpkin mixture and pumpkin pie spice; heat about 10 minutes until warm.
  3. Add 3 cups of the ice cream by the spoonful and stir 3 to 5 minutes more until just melted. Pour into a punch bowl.
  4. Top with scoops of remaining ice cream.
  5. Serve and enjoy!

3. Crock Pot Pumpkin Spice White Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
1/2 Califia Farms Creamer Pumpkin Spice Almond Milk
3 cups milk of choice
1½ cups white chocolate chips
Whipped cream and cinnamon for garnish (optional)

 

Instructions

  1. Heat milk and white chocolate chips in crock pot on low for 2-3 hours until chocolate is fully melted and combined with milk.
  2. Add Califia Farms Creamer Pumpkin Spice Almond Milk and allow to heat through.
  3. Serve with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
  4. Enjoy!

4. Citrus Cider 

Ingredients
8 cups of apple cider or juice
1 cup of orange juice
1/2 cup of lemon juice
1/4 of honey
8 whole cloves
3 slices of fresh ginger
Cinnamon sticks

 

Instructions

  1. In a crock pot, combine cider, orange juice, lemon juice, and honey. Stir to dissolve honey.
  2. For a spice bag, place cinnamon, cloves, and ginger in the center of the double thickness 100%-cotton cheesecloth.
  3. Bring the corners together and tie closed with 100%-cotton kitchen string. Add spice bag to slow cooker.
  4. Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 5 to 6 hours or on high-heat setting for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Remove the spice bag and discard.
  5. Serve and enjoy!

5. Cranberry Fizz 

 

Ingredients
3 oz of sparkling cider or ginger ale
3 oz of cranapple juice
Splash of lemon or lime juice
3 tbsp of sugar 
1/2 tsp of cinnamon

 

Instructions

  1. Mix cinnamon and sugar together.
  2. Rub a lemon or lime around the rim of your glass and dip into sugar and cinnamon mix.
  3. Pour cranapple over ice and add a splash of fresh juice of lemon or lime.
  4. Top off with sparking cider or ginger ale.
  5. Enjoy!

6. Grinch Punch 

Ingredients
Lime Sherbert
2 Liter bottle of 7Up
Fruit Punch
Red sanding sugar (for rim)

 

Instructions

  1. In a large punch bowl, spoon in the lime sherbet. Pour half of the sprite and half of the punch over the sherbet.
  2. Stir to combine.
  3. Take a glass and dip the rim in a plate of water. Dip the rim in red sanding sugar. 
  4. Serve your Grinch Punch and enjoy!

7. Harry Potter’s Butterbeer 

Ingredients
Vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
Butterscotch sauce (see below for ingredients)
Ginger ale or soda water

 

Butterscotch Sauce
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream or milk of choice
1/4 tsp. salt (or to taste)
1 tsp. vanilla

 

Instructions

  1. For the Butterscotch sauce recipe, whisk everything but the vanilla in a small pot set over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil and simmer for about 5 minutes, whisking occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and add the vanilla.
  4. Cool completely before putting spoonful in the bottom of your glass.
  5. For the Butterbeer, put a scoop of vanilla ice cream over sauce and drizzle more butterscotch. Stir to blend.
  6. Pour ginger ale or soda water to fill the glass.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

8. Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Hot Chocolate 

Ingredients
1 ½  cups milk of choice
1/2 tsp vanilla
3 oz of Ghirardelli’s Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel, finely chopped
1 tbsp salted caramel sauce
1 tbsp dark fudge sauce
Whipping Cream
1-2 tbsp salted caramel sauce (for top)

 

Instructions

  1. In a heavy medium saucepan, heat the milk until just simmering.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add Ghirardelli’s Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel and vanilla to saucepan. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Return to low-medium heat, cook and stir until the desired temperature.
  5. Remove from heat and pour into your favorite hot chocolate cup.
  6. Top with whipped cream and drizzle with salted caramel sauce.
  7. Enjoy!
